ASHES IN COPPER CAN

This story is about a cremated person from the year of 1883 and was put in this copper can and set in a room almost like a library of dead people in copper cans. They have been sitting in this room for one hundred and some odd years. The can has some sort of corrosion on it and that’s going to be based on how the person died. So here’s my story. In 1883 there was a man, wife and there three kids on there way to the new city and were traveling in snow, and in a wagon. One day they were traveling and the snow started thinning down, and they saw more and more animals so they thought it would be a good time to hunt for some food to have the next week or two. The chosen weapon was a muzzle loader rifle and the dad shot two dear and they smoked most of the meat because they didn’t have refrigerators back then. Then the next day they traveled the snow started falling again and they stopped and picked up some snow and let it melt so the horses that were pulling them and so the family could have something to drink. Then the snow started falling heavier than ever and the family started to get lost. By the next morning the three children had gotten hypothermia and died so they buried them in the snow. And there tombstones still remain. The mom and dad tried making it through but the mother had died the next week because of loosing here only children and that it was so cold. The father tried riding it out but he started to get very hopeless and was giving up. Until the next day he saw the trail for wagons to go to the next city they were heading for, but in one hour after that he went by a huge mountain and all the snow started giving away and an avalanche started, come roaring down the mountain and (bam) slammed right into the wagon almost killing him instantly. The sad part was he was only a half a mile away from the next city were he was planning on living a new life and making a lot of money, but the next day people from the city saw the accident and took the body to the city morgue and they cremated the body and put it in a copper can until now. There’s an algae type growing on the side of the can and it was white and some looked like flat snow areas and the other part looked like a mountain with an avalanche that came through and that’s my copper can story.
